The Good Life is our rotating single origin series built around balance. These are coffees with sweetness, clarity, and enough character to explore, without any one quality needing to take over the cup.

Each release is selected because the pieces simply work together. Sweetness meets acidity. Familiar flavors meet something a little more expressive. The coffee remains approachable while giving you room to notice more as you drink it.

For us, balance is not about making coffee less interesting. It is about allowing different qualities to share the cup. No two rotations will taste exactly the same, but each will occupy that middle ground between deeply familiar and boldly adventurous.

You do not have to choose an extreme to discover exceptional coffee. Sometimes the good life is somewhere in between.

Current Rotation

Guatemala Washed Cubulco, Baja Verapaz

This release comes from Cubulco, a small town in the highlands of Guatemala's Baja Verapaz region. Small farms and generations of agricultural tradition shape a coffee that reflects the sweetness, structure, and balance for which Guatemala has long been loved.

Brown sugar provides a deep, natural sweetness while chocolate gives the cup a familiar foundation. Toasted almond adds structure and a clean, nutty finish.

Together, those flavors create a cup where nothing needs to dominate. It is sweet without becoming heavy, structured without becoming sharp, and familiar without being limited to familiarity.

As drip, it is smooth, rounded, and expressive, with sweetness carrying throughout the cup. As espresso, it develops a chocolate forward body, brown sugar sweetness, and a clean almond finish.

It is the kind of coffee that can simply be enjoyed or explored a little further. Both are equally good reasons to drink it.

About the Coffee

Cubulco is located in the department of Baja Verapaz, Guatemala, where coffee grows at elevations ranging from approximately 1,600 to 1,800 meters above sea level. The region is home to many small farms and a significant Achi Maya population with deep roots in the area.

Many producers use traditional agricultural practices and operate their own wet mills, contributing to coffees with clean structure and a strong connection to place.

This washed Guatemala captures exactly what we look for in The Good Life: natural sweetness, clarity, structure, and balance working together in a cup that never asks one characteristic to do all the talking.
