The Good Life

The good life belongs to the one who drinks this cup! This blend involves a seasonal rotation of some of our own personal favorite single origins! We want to share with you a piece of the good life and to make your life a little bit brighter because of it. We have the honor of working with quality coffee and want to uniquely highlight our favorite characteristics of each for you to enjoy. You won't find a coffee the same, because we roast it special and unique! You never know, you might like our flavor preferences more than you think. Try a piece of the good life, we'd love to share it with you :)

Single Origin in Rotation: Guatemala Huehuetenango Candelaria (SHB) (2025) 

Flavor Notes: Sweet Milk Chocolate, Caramel, Almond, Brown Sugar 

We found this one as a very well-rounded cup that can be enjoyed as a smooth and relatable drip coffee or an excellent sweet and balanced espresso. We also experimented with development times and found that it makes for a good medium roast as well as a lighter-medium roast. No matter how you enjoy it, there is not a standard for flavor, but a preference. For this origin our preference lies in between light and medium to showcase that everyone can enjoy coffee. It doesn't have to be light and fruity or dark and robust. There is no one right way to enjoy the gift of coffee and we think you will most certainly enjoy this one! 

Additional Information: 

Huehuetenango farms sit high in the mountains ranging from 5,000 – 6,500 feet (2,000masl). This renowned region owes much to the dry, hot winds that come in from the mountains of Mexico’s Tehuantepec plain. The additional heat layers protect Huehuetenango from frost and enable coffee to grow at dizzying heights. The fact that Huehuetenango farms are so high up and remote means that producers must often set up their own micro-mills. Fortunately, Huehuetenango is also blessed with numerous rivers that facilitate washed-process coffee.

Candelaria is one of Genuine Origin’s first community lots, crafted by our amazing quality control lab in Guatemala City. They work with producers across Huehuetenango to develop a consistent, high-quality blend every year. In the cup, Candelaria has vibrant acidity, light body, and notes of milk chocolate and dried fruit sweetness.
